About TalentEcho
Updated October 22, 2026
TalentEcho is an iPhone app for soccer coaches, built independently by Luke Madden in Denver, Colorado. It gives coaches hands-free player notes: a way to speak an observation and have it filed to the right player, for recruiting or for their own team. It is live on the App Store and early-stage, launched in late September 2026.
Hands-free player notes: a coach speaks an observation, and it's transcribed and filed to the right player automatically, whether that's someone on their own roster or a recruit. The coach never stops watching the game to write.
Why TalentEcho exists
Coaches lose observations because capturing them means looking away. You see the moment that matters, a center back who steps in and wins it twice, a winger who keeps drifting inside and leaving you exposed. Then play moves on. A notebook puts your head down. A notes app has you typing with your thumbs while the ball is live. Waiting for halftime asks your memory to hold a dozen separate details across the whole squad.
TalentEcho was built to remove that trade. Say what you see the instant you see it, name the player, and keep watching. The note is transcribed on your iPhone and filed where it belongs, so the detail is still there after the final whistle. That is the one problem the app sets out to solve, and the rest of the product is built around it.
What TalentEcho does
TalentEcho captures hands-free player notes and sorts them by player so you can act on them later. The same method works for two jobs, and the app keeps them separate. For recruiting, you build a board of players you are tracking and add spoken notes as you watch them, which is useful when you are scouting a showcase and seeing many players across a weekend. For your own team, notes roll up into ratings and a depth chart so you can see your options at each position.
Dictation is transcribed on the iPhone, recruiting and your own team are kept separate, and players must be 13 or older. You can read the specifics on the privacy and player data page. TalentEcho is iPhone-only right now, with no Android version.
Who builds it
TalentEcho is built by Luke Madden, an individual based in Denver, Colorado. It is independently built and early-stage, launched in late September 2026, so the roadmap is still open and coach feedback shapes what gets built next. If you want to know more about the person behind it, that part is Luke's to tell, and he would rather earn your trust with how the app works for you than with a bio. What he can say plainly: TalentEcho is made by one coach-minded builder who wants the capture step to cost you as little attention as possible.
